My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were warm, spacious, and the bed was comfortable, but it was way too hot and cleanliness was lacking, particularly in the toilet area. The Scandinavian minimalist decor was plain but sufficient for a cozy stay.

6.0/10

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were adequately equipped with amenities like towels, shampoo, conditioner, and a hairdryer, but the lack of comfort items like good pillows was disappointing for a double bed setup. The safe was a nice touch for hanging wet clothes to dry. The price seemed fair for what was offered.

Rooms
6.0
The room was Spartan and lacked minimal comforts. The pillows were awful.
Service
7.0
While the service was polite, there were some cleanliness issues in the room that could have been improved, like hair left in the hallways.
Location
8.0
The location was in a residential area with convenient access to nearby restaurants, buses, and a supermarket. It was a bit of a walk to the main shopping street, which was not my favorite aspect, especially with leftover garbage from the night before.
Dining

The free breakfast offered little variety and fresh options morning to morning. The raw fish dish was disappointing.

The hotel had everything we would expect from a reputable place. It was a good extra place to hang out with friends, next to parking, and looking the street. The staff was friendly and helpful, with lots of tourism info available. However, the location had some issues with cleanliness and maintenance, but it was very close to the bus station where tour buses pick up and most local sights.

The location was not bad; it was near the city center with a short walking distance to many of Reykjavik attractions. However, it constantly had beer cans and garbage from the night before and wasn't cleaned for days. On a random note, Icelandic tap water is unbeatable.
Dining

The dining experience was great, with plenty of choice available from 7-10am. There was an abundant selection of deli meats and cheeses, pickled herring, hard-boiled eggs, raw veggies, fruit, various breads, and Danish.
